Hyderabad : Minister for IT, Industries and Commerce K.T Rama Rao today unveiled FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO) Women Green Industrial Park at TSIIC office at Parishrama Bhavan here. The function was held on the occasion of World Women’s Day and KTR handed over sanction proceedings of allotment of land for FLO Women Green Industrial Park to its Chairperson Padma Rajgopal.
TSIIC allocated FLO 50 acres of land at Sultanpur in Patancheru on the city outskirts. FLO will develop this as a Women’s Industrial Park. The infrastructure will be developed by TSIIC. The FLO members will establish units in the said park. Those members, who have minimum 51 percent share in partnerships/Pvt. Ltd companies will be allocated the land.
Quoting Margaret Thatcher, former Prime Minister of UK, KTR told women entrepreneurs gathered that they are much better in execution and much better in getting things done. FLO Chairperson Padma Rajgopal thanked the VC and MD of TSIIC Narsimha Reddy and KTR a for allotting 50 acres at Sultanpur to FICCI FLO Hyderabad. “It is a real gift of empowerment to us women today, and we are glad that you have chosen this International Women’s Day to announce it”.
Padma Rajgopal urged TSIIC and State government to grant processes with various agencies/Depts/ministry for the development of the land for quick implementation of the project, including the grant processes with Ministry of MSME, Govt of India for the Infrastructure and Common Facility Grants. She also sought all current benefits to SC, ST & Women subsidies applicable and extended to them too to encourage women entrepreneurship and maximum participation. Among other benefits, FLO sought include Investment subsidy of 25 per cent on fixed capital with a maximum cap of Rs 30lakh to all units; 50 per cent subsidy on expenses incurred for ISO and other Quality Certifications. KTR has readily given his consent for all these requests.
FLO also requested for special allocation of five acres of land on lease to develop, build and operate a Centre of Excellence for Skill Development of women from Weaker and Under-Privileged sections of the society. KTR gave his nod readily for the same. This Centre of Excellence for Skill Development will impart 1200 to 1400 women in various skills complementing the needs and requirements of the industries with in the Park. She also made an earnest appeal to ensure disbursements for approved incentives within ninety days thereby establishing the first women entrepreneur park in the country by the government of Telangana.
