Dr Preetha Reddy, Vice Chairman Apollo group has announced Dr Pulijala Srinivasa Rao as CEO of Apollo Medskills, a NSDC- Apollo partnership organization.
Dr Srinivasa Rao, Physician and MBA by education has been contributing to Apollo group for last 9 years in various roles in Operations, Academics, Alliances and e-health with astute commitment and leadership. The state of the art healthcare education & training institutes across the country, Apollo Medskills along with its partners aim to train and contribute 100,000 skilled healthcare workforce to strengthen India’s healthcare system over the next five years. This workforce will include newly trained, certified employable professionals for allied health care services as well as skill enhanced healthcare professionals who are already in the system.
Apollo Medskills in association with Healthcare sector skill council (HSSC) has developed the curriculum for several courses including Medical lab technician, Dialysis technician, Imaging technician, Home health aides, Pharmacy assistants and many more. National Skill Development Corporation India and Healthcare sector skill council play a key role in supporting accreditation for these courses. With a Training space of over 120000 S.ft, now Apollo Medskills is spread over 25 locations in India and has over 250 employees leading the “Skill India” mission in Healthcare.
