Position: Project Coordinator
Location: Delhi
The position is for the Project Samriddhi that focuses on women’s financial inclusion and entrepreneurship development in urban community.
The objective of the project is to financially empower women from disadvantaged and economically poor households to provide for a better quality of life for them and their families through financial inclusion training program. The training outcomes will be assessed in terms of attitudinal change, awareness about financial services available, developing personal financial management skills and operational knowledge to avail financial services. Identify and select women to be supported for the development of their micro business ideas which are already existing or wish to initiate a business by providing seed loans and market linkages.
Eligibility Requirements:
Educational Qualification: Post Graduate from a recognized University / Institution in social work, PGDRD/MA/ or related fields
Experience: Minimum of three to five years’ experience in micro finance, financial literacy, women entrepreneurship programs or income generation activities and livelihood promotion projects in urban community
Skills required:
— Experience of program management, training and community mobilization
— Expertise in basic computer applications like MS word, Excel and internet usage
— Ability to multi task and work well under pressure, timeline and in response to changing needs.
— Excellent leadership qualities with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
— Able to travel within Delhi as per requirement.
Job Role:
Profile: The person will be appointed as a Project Coordinator and will report to the Program Manager. S/he will be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the project in the field/community. Excellent understanding of livelihood and income generation programs, women entrepreneurship programs, functioning and monitoring of SHGs and market linkages is required.
— Planning, implementation and monitoring of the project
— Prepare, guide and monitor the action plan for the project team
— Identification of women from the community and facilitating financial literacy workshops for them.
— Assessing the training outcome in terms of knowledge, attitude and practice.
— Periodic follow up of workshops’ participants to understand their progress in terms financial inclusion, use of financial sessions and tools, increase in savings and change in behavior.
— Preparing an impact study for these workshops based on the follow up sessions.
— Identification and selection of women for making them entrepreneurs
— Market scan for identifying the available entrepreneurship trades for women to match with their existing skills.
— Supporting the women to develop business plans and initiate income generation activities.
— Networking and linking them with nearby NGOs, banks and other agencies for skill development trainings.
— Report writing, documentation and financial management of ongoing activities and success stories from among these women.
— Team coordination and best use of limited resources
