Bangkok : Skill Development Department director general Kreetha Sopchoke said that the agency has organized a project to train workers in special economic development zones at regional and provincial skill development centers.
The project for which a 41.6 million baht budget has been provided aims to train a total of 19,800 workers in the special economic development zones. The department has trained 11,449 workers during October 2015 – March 2016, he said.
He added that the department has opened the Skill Development Center, 2, in Mae Sot district of Tak province and another one in Aranyaprathet district of Srakaew province to train workers to maintain small-sized air-conditioners and repair small engines for use in agriculture.
