Govt. ITI for Girls (Nizamabad) recognized as best Skill Training Institution in South India by MSDE

Government ITI for Girls here and its Principal K. Ram Mohan Rao have been selected as the best institute and the best principal for awards to be presented by the Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) at Pragathi Maidan in New Delhi on July 16.

The ITI and also its principal Mr. Rao are the only institute and its head respectively selected for these awards from entire South India. They secured this honour for their services in enabling every student who underwent training at the institute to get employment or to start self-employment unit in the last four years.

It also stood first in the South India in generating the highest amount (Rs.93 lakh) through its courses. It also achieved ISO 2990-2010 and also ISO 2001-2008 in skill development. Observing its overall performance Quality Council of India, New Delhi granted it the accreditation certificate, according to Mr. Ram Mohan Rao.

The ITI, located at Sivajinagar in the town, besides giving training in the courses encouraged its students to manufacture jute articles, garments, designer blouses, do computer-aided embroidery, ornaments with crystal beads and decorative items. Through which the institute earned lakhs of rupees and self-sufficiency. It also set up solar power panels on its own to cut down expenditure on electricity use.
