New Delhi : With an aim to enhance employability and address the issue of mismatch between what is being taught and the skill-sets that the industry needs, one of the largest employability test is being held by Wheebox Global Talent Assessment Company reaching out to 5000 educational campuses and assessing across 29 states and union territories in India.
This is done in in association with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), LinkedIn, PeopleStrong, Association of Indian Universities (AIU), and United Nations Development Program (UNDP). The Wheebox Employability Test (WEST) is conducted for graduates, post-graduates with diplomas, ITIs, engineers, polytechnic, and management schools all over India. WEST is the only pre- screening test in the country that is endorsed by both industry bodies and academia.
The employability test measures candidate’s abilities in numerical and problem solving skills along with English, basics of Information Technology (IT), and behavioral traits in 70 minutes. The test is available in both Hindi and English and attempts to make a meaningful matchmaking between talent demand and supply for the job market. The test can be accessed through the web link – available at wheebox.com / west. Many corporations use it as standardized test for hiring fresher candidates and various state governments and skilling bodies in India endorse the test as validated tool for measuring employability skills.
This assessment closes by 30th October 2016. In year 2015, there were more than half a million test takers. This year, focus in more on educational campuses outside large cities and ITI’s and Polytechnic campuses and female candidates in the age group between 21 and 26 years across India.
All test takers will receive free certification and transcript along with learning content on improvement areas and employer connect from Wheebox partners. The final report will be published in form of “India Skills Report 2017” in November 2017 during CII’s Global Summit on Skill Development at Hyderabad.

The test has already assessed more than 1 million students from over 3000 colleges across India in past and has been bench-marked as standardized test for employability. It is one of the largest skill survey of graduating candidates in the country conducted for bench-marking employability skills for final year graduates, post-graduates and diploma holders from engineering, polytechnic, ITIs, state-run colleges and management schools across 29 states and union territories in India.
