Tamil Nadu : A self-employment skill development program is proposed to be conducted under the aegis of the self-employment training centre of the Indian Bank in the district. The training program organised by the district administration jointly with the Indian Bank envisions entrepreneurial skill-training support to persons interested in setting up self-entrepreneurial ventures.
The programme currently proposes training in Tally, Hardware and Networking. The skill training will include ancillary support including information on bank’s financial support for self-entrepreneurial ventures, market research, and support for preparation of detailed project report. The skill training module will include online training resources, and demonstrative tools such as LCD projectors.
Candidates will be provided with lunch during the training period.
On successful completion, a certificate along with counselling on self-employment avenues will be given to trainees.
Who can participate : Persons between 18 years and 45 years of age, reading and writing knowledge of Tamil are eligible to apply. Both women and men are eligible for training. SHGs and those below poverty line are encouraged to apply.
Applications on a white sheet of paper with name; and specifying the nature of skill that the candidate would like to be trained in, must be sent to the Director, Indian self-employment skill training centre, Collectorate – 5.
