300 cr allocated to AP State Skill Development Corporation to provide skills to the jobless : Minister

Nellore : Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy said that the state government had allocated Rs.300 crore the AP State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) to provide skills to the jobless.

Somireddy inaugurated Job Mela organised by the BC Corporation and Skill Development centres at Kasturidevi School here on Sunday. Speaking at the meeting, the Minister said that the state stands first in Ease of Doing Business.

He suggested to the candidates who attended the Mela to work hard and be optimistic. He said that they were providing unemployment dole to 16,253 youngsters who applied in the district. Youth have to develop as young entrepreneurs.

Chandramohan Reddy handed over offer letters to the candidates who were selected by various companies. Later, he visited Venkatachalam mandal. He released fish into the Sarvepalli tank and said that they had released 5 lakh fish seeds into Sarvepalli tank.

State government had allocated Rs.2 crore to release fish in the water resources in the district. He explained that government has also allocated Rs.22 crore for fishing nets, ice boxes and for other equipment.
