Social arm of Council of Education and Development Programmes, “CEDP TRUST”, an institute with a sole objective to improve quality of life to individuals, announced its Tie Up with “World Vision India” to provide Soft Skills Training to the Underprivileged and BPL children of Andheri and Dharavi.
CEDP Trust will work with World Vision to provide vocational training to the youths of economically weaker sections of that region to help them position themselves in mainstream arena. CEDP Trust along with CEDP Skill Institute & World Vision India wants to take this opportunity towards creating a pool of independent youth living with dignity from the underprivileged section of these regions through skill enhancement as per the market requirements. The Institute is also taking an initial step to educate such children basically who are trying to empower their lives but do not have enough resources to go to school.
Shaheen Khan, Founder Director of CEDP Skills Institute after the Tie-up with world vision India said “We recognized skill development as an important area of focus as part of our efforts in the nation’s socioeconomic development. Bridging the critical gap between manpower availability and employ-ability is important to provide sustainable livelihood opportunities for all to grow and prosper”. Children are the future of our country and we feel proud to see the work that our institute is doing for the underprivileged not just in terms of education but also in bringing out their latent talents.
I wish World Vision India grows further and works with CEDP Skills Institute to bring more such program to our Institutes” Shaheen Khan further added. CEDP Skill Institute is basically working in line with the Prime Minister’s vision of skilling Indian youth and contributing to making India the skill capital of the world. As the country prepares to embrace the potential of this untapped youth, an official and structured framework will go a long way in taking India up the ladder. CEDP also understands that skill training is not just a means to ensure employment but also to create sustainable livelihoods through skills based education.
Through expanding partnerships with the World Vision India, CEDP Skills Institute wants to bring their unique combination of experiential learning and industry exposure to various students from unprecedented number of public sector educational institutions.
