The Food Industry Capacity and Skill Initiative (FICSI), the Food Sector Skill Council proposes to establish three Center of Excellence ( CoE ) for Bakery, Food Testing Labs and Multi-Sectoral Skill training in NCR location. To fulfil the purpose, FICSI intends to invite Expression of Interest (EOI) from interested individuals to participate in the establishment of the CoE.
This initiative aims to advance skill development and promote excellence in the food processing sector, addressing critical education, training, and infrastructure gaps
- Bakery CoE: specializing in the development and production of Premium quality bakery products. Proposed location: NCR
- Food Testing Lab (CoE): Focused on advanced food testing and analysis techniques to ensure food safety and quality. Lab will be equipped to handle comprehensive testing of various food products, enhancing the capacity for regulatory compliance and innovation in food safety. The laboratory infrastructure will undergo a thorough audit to meet NABL standards, strategically aiming for NABL certification in food testing and analysis.
- Multi-sectoral Skilling Centers: Focusing on fast food production, Ready-to-Eat (RTE) food using millets, fruits, and vegetables, basic food testing lab skills and food sales promoter programs.
Eligibility Criteria
M.Tech in Food Engineering with minimum 10 years’ experience of providing detailed engineering services including procurement services for similar projects.
