Job Tender RFP EOI of skill development TVET apprenticeship training in India

The Directorate of Skill Development (DSD), Government of Tripura, is setting up an Advanced Skill Training Centre for Beauty & Wellness (the Centre) at Bodhjungnagar, Agartala. A built-up training space of about 1,745 sq. m is available for the Centre at Bodhjungnagar.

The Centre will admit 200 candidates in Year 1 and 200 candidates in Year 2, in two staggered intakes each year. The training period of each programme may range from 10 (ten) to 12 (twelve) months. DSD now seeks an experienced institution to set up, run and hand over the Centre as its Operating Partner under a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model. The Operating Partner will set up the training facilities, tools and equipment in the Centre, operate the Centre, and transfer it with all its assets to DSD at the end of the engagement. It will be paid an all-inclusive cost per candidate, which covers the training setup, tools and equipment, manpower and all other costs of running the Centre. DSD will provide the built-up space, retain policy oversight and approvals, and be responsible for student mobilisation, hostel and trainee support, and facility operations.

Objective

The Operating Partner will establish, run and manage the Centre, and secure its long-term sustainability, under the BOT model. It should bring proven expertise in setting up and running world-class Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.

The Centre is meant to become a benchmark for advanced skilling. That means industry relevance, quality assurance, learner-centred teaching, strong employability and sound operations. The Operating Partner will also build local capacity through mentoring, handholding and knowledge transfer, so that the Government of Tripura can take over the Centre smoothly at the end of the BOT period.
