Kathmandu : India will provide Rs 44 million to Nepal for the construction of a technical institute building under bilateral economic cooperation programme.
A tripartite Memorandum of Understanding was signed among the Indian Embassy, Kathmandu, Sindhuli local development office and Sindhuli Community Technical Institute for construction of three three-storey building with 19 rooms, computer and Internet lab, reading room with various other facilities as part of India-Nepal Economic Cooperation Programme.
Sindhuli Community Technical Institute, which was established in 2014, has been providing diploma courses in engineering and plans to expand programs in health and agriculture.
The new infrastructure would provide much-needed classroom space and would create an improved environment for learning and contribute to the development of the technical education in the district, a statement said.
