CGSSC is delighted to share the release of our newsletter, “YANTRASHILP”, as we present key highlights from the FY 2025-26 journey of the Capital Goods & Strategic Skill Council towards building a “Skilled India”.
This edition reflects a year of sustained efforts in strengthening the capital goods sector through strategic skilling initiatives, meaningful industry collaborations, and impactful outreach.
It begins with messages from the Chairman and CEO, outlining CGSSC’s forward-looking vision and reinforcing its commitment to creating an industry-aligned, future-ready workforce. Over the course of the year, CGSSC deepened its industry engagement through key collaborations, MoUs, and focused industry and cluster meets, facilitating alignment with evolving industry needs.
CGSSC Aajevika
A key enabler in this journey has been CGSSC Aajevika – the council’s online assessment and placement platform, which has significantly eased the process of shortlisting candidates from across India to meet diverse industry skill requirements.
As an integrated hiring solution, CGSSC Aajevika empowers employers to post jobs, conduct assessments, hire relevant skilled talent, and seamlessly carry out video interviews, thereby simplifying and accelerating the recruitment process.
Collaborations & MoUs
CGSSC During FY 2025-26, expanded its collaboration with Industries, Centers of Excellence and Higher Education Institutions, aimed at enhancing curriculum, promoting hands-on learning, and fostering employability.
- CGSSC x CMTI partnership for innovation-led skilling
- CGSSC x BSVT collaborates for placement opportunities
- CGSSC x CVS at IIT Delhi for specialized training, and so forth
The Council’s state-level engagements ensured the effective implementation of skilling initiatives aligned with regional and national priorities. Through flagship programs such as PMKVY and PM Vishwakarma, CGSSC facilitated large-scale skill development, supporting both employment and entrepreneurship. These efforts translated into successful placement drives, including international opportunities, thereby broadening career pathways for skilled candidates.
Beyond skilling, CGSSC continued to foster engagement and inclusivity through festive celebrations, events, and participation in the WorldSkills Competition, showcasing India’s technical excellence. The year also marked a steady expansion in CGSSC’s membership base, reflecting growing industry trust and collaboration.
In essence, “Yantrashilp” encapsulates a year of progress, partnerships, and purpose, reaffirming CGSSC’s commitment to driving a skilled, competitive, and globally relevant workforce for India’s capital goods sector.
